I dare say, whether you are political or not, the recent U.S. election caught your attention as none other has done. President-elect Donald Trump’s unprecedented sweeping victory sent shock waves all around the world.
The atmosphere has been shaken–gripped, if you will, by 2024’s election results. Trump’s populist message resonated with Americans of both parties, enough for many to jump the Dem ship and go with the man. And, for the first time, he attracted the votes of millions of black people, Jews, Latinos, and young people.
While his victory left some deeply chagrined, multitudes more were ecstatic with joy and relief.
But this election was not entirely about politics–that system so many have long trusted in; nor was it about a political party. It was not even all about a man. It is, in fact, a prophetic event at a time prophetically appointed by God Almighty.
God is ruling. He is orchestrating matters among men to accomplish His purposes, just as He permitted Pharaoh to continue in his obstinacy that He would be the greater glorified in delivering His people from Egypt’s bondage. Pharaoh unwittingly played right into God’s almighty hands.
Let us never forget that God is sovereign. “He changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings.” Daniel 2:21. “God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.” Psalm 75:7.
“The living” need to “know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.” Daniel 4:17.
We are presently in the most momentous time in human history, not due to the U.S. election, but because we are very near the climax of the battle of Armageddon, the war between good and evil. It started in Eden and will end at the sounding of the last trump when Jesus returns.
Satan is engaged in all-out war against God, having great wrath, for he knows he has but a short time (Rev. 12:12). He has gathered together all of his forces (Rev. 20:8-9) and is presently encompassing the beloved city–the church of the living God. Christianity, most surely, is increasingly under fire, yea, as is every righteous principle; yet all suffer in this war. Humanity is groaning!
What has transpired in the past sixty years is evidence of Satan’s craft. The tumultous 60’s caused a paradigm shift in society with amazing swiftness, resulting in the madness and evil we see today. With the devil’s bold workings manifest, even unbelievers are recognizing that we are in a war between good and evil, and many are turning to God.
Even Richard Dawkins, a noted atheist, who once wrote that religion has caused grievous harm to society, more recently admitted that Christianity is a force for good against transgender ideology. He now believes we need Christianity as a buttress against something worse. I personally know of other professed atheists who, troubled by the abounding evil in the world today, have converted to Christianity.
Many feel that the end is near. They are right. But prophecy declares that at the apex of this spiritual war, shortly before the final trumpet actually sounds, God will manifest His power in executing the fierceness of His wrath upon Babylon.
God has spoken. So shall it be. A great spiritual shaking is coming–“a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.” See Revelation 16:17-19.
New faces will be in the White House in 2025, but that is no guarantee of fair weather and smooth sailing ahead. Our certainty is founded on the Word of God. May God’s will be done and may He come quickly!
